With the release of Illusion of Night later today, there are things I want to do, I just need to finish them! Still I’m excited that this is finally happening.
Last week, I was talking to my friend Robin (a talented artist) and he asked me a simple question, “What made me first become interested in male on male fiction?”
Well unbelievably, the question stumped me at first. I’ve been writing it for a few years now although that wasn’t originally my genre. My first encounter with male/male was with the OVA for Sanami Matoh’s Fake. A friend had burned me a disk with some anime on it but neglected to tell me that the adventures of Ryo MacLean and Dee Laytner were included on said disk. So I was very surprised when I came to the balcony scene
where the two main characters shared a steamy kiss. All I could think was, wow.
My interest was piqued. With a lot of research and searching, I got the whole series and was hooked on yaoi soon after. I even managed to do quite a bit of fan-fiction.
As to my original work, well at first I thought I had no desire to male/male that is until I discovered the world of e-books. But wait, I’m getting ahead of myself. My first real go at male/male was entering the BetterSex.com Erotic Fiction contest several years back. The prize money was good and I was by now, extreme intrigued with the genre as a whole so I thought, why not?
I won’t say, the rest is history, but well actually…
So my question to my fellow writers is – what made to first get interested in yaoi and/or male/male fiction? What was the driving force behind your motivation?

Can I get another BOOYAH? How do you like the new look of my site? You won't believe all the templates and
layouts I went through when I finally settled on something classic. After this, I'm going to treat myself with
some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream.
And now for the big news. This is the official unveiling of the cover art for my novel, Illusion of Night! I
mentioned on FB and Twitter that I had approved it a little bit ago but circumstances have kept me off the net
for a bit, namely I've been engaged in home improvement projects which still haven't been finished. Ah well --
I wanted a house!
But back to the subject! Isn't this cover fantastic?! I'm truly loving it! How much do you ask? It's my current desktop
background! It's the first thing I see when I boot up the PC in the morning. My thanks again to the wonderfully
talented PL Nunn for doing such excellent work.
In other news, I'm going to be sending out Diamond in the Rough, my m/m/m short story. Wish me luck!
